Lenses and Photography Vocabulary :o)
I would use a telephoto lens to take a photo of a subject in the distance say, a bird or flying bugs
I would use a wide-angle lens to take a photo of (what else?) a wide scenario they give you a wild field of view.
I would use a prime lens to take a photo in a dark room or at night for it takes better photos in the dark than others do :o)
Rule of thirds divide it into 9 sections and the subject should be at a intersecting point of the lines
Balancing Elements, balance out the weight of the subject to give it volume and so it doesn't look like it will fall off the photo.
leading lines try to place the lines in a photo to lead to the subject or to make it connect to the scene
Symmetry and Patterns taking symmetrical photos with patterns can catch the eye you can also break the symmetry with the subject to make them stand out more.
Viewpoint try to take photos at different view points to see which one will stand out and pop more to the viewer.
Background take photos where the subject is at a clear background or the subject may blend in to the busy environment.
Depth use objects from the foreground, middle ground, and background to add a depth to the photo
Framing the world is full of natural frames use these to isolate your subject and make it more alluring to the viewer.
Cropping helps eliminate background errors.
Experimentation try to experiment with your photos to get a new aspect and surprise the viewer.
